Visitors to Savannah Sounds Port Douglas can travel to the popular music event in style, thanks to a new partnership with Cairns-based tourism operator Reef Unlimited.

Reef Unlimited will provide exclusive ferry transportation to and from the festival from Cairns from May 23 to 25.

Savannah Sounds Port Douglas Carnivale is set to bring live performances from top Australian artists in the heart of Port Douglas, including headline acts Max Jackson, The Wolfe Brothers, Glenn Shorrock, The Back Sorrows and more.

Savannah in the Round festival director James Dein said he was excited for the “one-in-a-lifetime” partnership.

“I don’t know any other scenario in Australia where you can cruise in a water vessel, up one of the most stunning coastlines in the world, to a music concert,” Mr Dein said.

“It’s a great connection with one of the most idyllic tourism destinations and we’re excited to be delivering it through this partnership.”

He said visitors could fly from anywhere in Australia into Cairns, before cruising up to Port Douglas.

“Now punters can fly in from Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, or any other national location, stay at their favourite five-star accommodation in Cairns, and simply cruise in and out of the Port Douglas Carnivale. How easy is that?” he said.

It comes after Reef Unlimited hosted Savannah Sounds on the Reef, a live music concert headlined by Sheppard and Lee Kernaghan on the Reef Magic pontoon at Moore Reef.

Each leg of the trip takes approximately 1.5 hours.
