Cairns traffic: Motorbike rider flown to hospital following Mareeba crash

A motorcyclist has been flown to Cairns hospital following a serious crash on a Far North Queensland road.

A motorcyclist has been flown to Cairns hospital in a serious condition following a car and motorcycle crash in Mareeba on Thursday morning.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman confirmed the man, was initially transported to Mareeba hospital with significant leg injuries.

“He was taken by road to Mareeba hospital but was flown to Cairns hospital in a serious condition. Crews also assessed a second patient who declined transport,” the spokeswoman said.
