A SHOW where the audience is encouraged to scream while watching sword swallowing and acrobatics will help bring the Cairns Festival to a close this weekend.
Le Coup director Chelsea McGuffin said it was a performance for everyone from music lovers to those who are keen for a laugh.
“It’s a fun, engaging, circus and music show. There’s aerials, tap-dancing, singing, acrobatics, sword swallowing,” she said.
“There’s a lot of things packed into a 70-minute show.
“It’s a wild ride and we invite the audience to jump on board and get involved – we invite them to scream and yell.
“We should all feel like we leave on a bit of a high.”
Ms McGuffin said the live music was also a hit.
“Some people also say they would buy the tickets just to see the band. It’s all live music and the musical score is fantastic,” she said.
The show will feature some talented Australian-based performers including sword-swallowing and fire-breathing Jacqueline Furey.
“We’ve got performers from all around the place, people who have been performing internationally; we are all Australian based,” Ms Furey said.
“We don’t often get to do touring to Cairns and regionally, so it is a really cool opportunity.”
The show will run at 8pm on Saturday and 6pm on Sunday and tickets can be purchased at ticketlink.com.au
