Adult, child hospitalised following Edge Hill car crash

Two people including a young child have been rushed to hospital following a two-vehicle crash in Cairns on Wednesday morning.

Emergency services responded to reports of a two-vehicle crash on Greenslopes Street, Edge Hill around 7.50am.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman confirmed crews has assessed six patients on scene, two adults and four children, with two taken to hospital.

“We’re looking at transporting one adult female with neck pain and a young male child, where the airbag was deployed in the face,” the spokeswoman said.

“Both are stable.”

The spokeswoman confirmed part of the road was blocked to traffic.
