FNQ Dance Academy performers wowed sellout crowds at the Cairns Performing Arts Centre at the weekend.
After months of rehearsals, about 250 dancers took to the CPAC stage on Sunday to celebrate the dance troupe’s 10th anniversary in a performance titled Decades of Dance.

FNQ Dance Academy director Sarah Thorne said the show was a major achievement for all involved.
“I’m very proud, and very proud of my staff that have made this possible,” she said on Sunday.
“The dancers have been preparing for three months on the routines and the teachers have been preparing for much longer.
”It’s pretty exciting there is 1400 people across both shows that will see the show today.”
Showcasing significant dance styles through the decades, the two performances took inspiration from ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, musical theatre and tap genres in new academy team routines.
