A 12-year old boy has been charged with sexual assault after allegedly touching multiple women inappropriately in the Cairns CBD.

A 12-year old boy has been charged with sexual assault after allegedly touching multiple women inappropriately in the Cairns CBD.
Police allege the boy was swimming in the Cairns Esplanade Lagoon on March 21 when he approached multiple women before inappropriately touching them.
Officers located the boy a short time later, when he was charged with one count each of sexual assault and common assault.
He is scheduled to appear in the Cairns Children’s Court on March 26.
