Over 120 home, lifestyle and outdoor adventure companies will be on show at the Cairns Expo this year with some special deals and new inventory. FIND OUT WHAT THEY ARE

OVER 120 home, lifestyle and outdoor adventure companies with some special deals and new inventory will be on show at the Cairns Expo that begins on Friday, May 6.

Cairns Expo director Paul Douglass said there would be a wide range available at the expo.

“It’s an outdoor expo and everybody will have an opportunity to have a look at the latest motor accessories that are on the market,” Mr Douglass said.

“It is also a home show and will have a display of home appliances.”

Hard Korr Campers national sales manager Tony Taylor said this year they would be showcasing their hybrid vans.

“Being close to the gateway to the Cape these things are cape ready. It will get you there and get you home,” Mr Taylor said.

“We’ve got internal and external cooking, full off the road van, king sized bed, massive amount of storing, you’ve also got your outdoor living, an automatic awning and a full off grid package.”

At the show you will be able to get the full package for $65, 990 which Mr Taylor said would usually go for under $70,000 but the van will include a few extras at the show.

Berkley Supertank lead angler Michael Cooke will be running an educational show throughout the expo about how to catch fish.

“There will be new lures that nobody’s seen yet and we will show you the different techniques to catch the reef fish in this area and some of the fresh water fish up in the damn like at Tinaroo,” he said.

“Instead of getting up and talking I can show them what it’s like with a supertank.”

Mr Cooke is excited to showcase some new lures including the Berkley Shimmer Shrimp one.

“It’s the hottest seller in the market, it looks like a prawn, feels like a prawn and smells like a prawn and does everything that a prawn does it’s one of the best prawn lures.”

“We have a show bag with a range of things that will help people catch fish and then basically we have lures for sale.”

The expo that ends on May 8 will include a variety of entertainment and allow people to do research at the event and compare all products on offer from one location.
