The family whose home burned down while the parents were out have returned to the devastation this morning.

A 21-year-old man and two boys, aged 16 and eight, were at their Elderslie home 9.50pm Friday when the fire started.

Nobody was injured, with the three siblings running into the arms of neighbours.

The cause of the inferno is unknown.

Saturday morning the family and friends hugged outside the Cruikshank Ave property, in south west Sydney.

Witness Kaliska Nenadic, 11, came out of her grandmother’s home last night to see the blaze.

“We saw big orange flames glowing at the back and in the middle of the house,” the Campbelltown girl said.

“I was just hoping that they got out and that they were OK.

“People there looked worried and scared.”

The four-bedroom home is owned by Jim Landouw and Kim Hogan.

Mr Landouw declined to comment.

Fire investigators and police have been scouring the four-bedroom home for clues this morning, however a police spokesman said the fire is not being treated as suspicious.
