Brisbane has beaten Sydney and Melbourne in being chosen as the host city for AEW Grand Slam Australia.
For the first time since its inception in 2019, sports entertainment company All Elite Wrestling will stage a show in Australia, with organisers confident of attracting a 40,000-strong crowd at Suncorp Stadium for the event on February 15 next year.
“We are proud to bring All Elite Wrestling’s biggest stars to Brisbane for AEW Grand Slam Australia,” said AEW chief executive officer, general manager and head of creative Tony Khan, whose family also owns NFL franchise Jacksonville Jaguars and English Premier League club Fulham.
“Our historic Australia debut will mark another milestone for AEW in 2025 and we look forward to fans from all over Australia converging on Brisbane for an incredible night.”
A common goal as brings them together as PAC teams with #BCC members Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta. Will they move on to the London Ladders Match at #AEWAllInLondon?
