‘Drop it now!’: Officers seize 30cm knife from man at Brisbane city bus station
Police have arrested a man who triggered concern in Brisbane’s CBD after he was spotted carrying a whopping 30cm hunting knife.

Police have arrested a man with a 30cm hunting knife at a bus station in Brisbane’s central business district.
Officers were called to Roma St after reports of an armed man on Monday about 2.30pm.
In footage released by police, an officer can be heard saying: “Drop it, drop it now, drop the knife, put it on the ground.”
Police said the man took the sheathed 30cm hunting knife out of his waistband and dropped it on the ground following the orders by the officer.
“No threats were made by the man towards any member of the public or towards police,” police said in a statement.
Police have charged an 18-year-old Tarragindi man with one count of possessing a knife in a public place and he is expected to appear before Brisbane Magistrates Court on Wednesday, November 20.
