Well-known Auslan interpreter, Mikey Webb got a nasty suprise from a bird at a Brisbane media conference on Wednesday morning.
The usually well composed interpreter interrupted Deputy Premier Steven Miles and said “oh sh-t”.
Mr Webb had been hit by bird poo which splattered down the left side of his jacket, on his hand and in his hair.
“Oh Mikey ... uh oh ... everyone look above,” Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said.
She later tweeted that the culprit was an owl.
Deputy Premier Steven Miles said he was going to answer the rest of the questions quickly.
Once Mr Webb removed his jacket, Deputy Commissioner Shane Chelepy handed him a handkerchief to wipe it off.
Mr Chelepy cheekily said he didn’t need the handkerchief back.
Like the true professional he is, Mr Webb went on to interpret the rest of the press conference.
Nothing stops our fabulous Mikey.

After the press conference ended, Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk offered to dry clean Mr Webb’s jacket.
He politely declined, saying he would do it himself.
