Baz and other onlookers at the swanky affair were bemused as to why Pauline Hanson’s chief of staff James Ashby was seated at the same table as Brian Burston, who defected from the party last year.

The pair nearly came to blows on the dance floor of the Midwinter Ball last year when words were exchanged in Parliament’s Great Hall.

It’s little wonder a scuffle broke out on Wednesday night given Burston and Ashby were seated on the same table for mining’s night of nights.

With Burston up for re-election in May and Ashby’s pass cancelled, there’s little chance of the two men lining up for round two. But Baz has some advice for anyone game enough to invite Burston and Ashby to a function, seat them apart!
