Two people fighting for life after massive fire rips through Qld house
Police have confirmed they are investigating a “suspicious” fire that left three people in hospital, including two with critical injuries.

Two people are fighting for life after a fire ripped through a regional Queensland property property in the early hours of Boxing Day morning.
Queensland Police have since confirmed the blaze is being treated as suspicious.
Emergency crews were called to a house on Mooney St in Gulliver, Townsville, about 3am Thursday after reports of a fire engulfing the property.
A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson said three people were taken to Townsville University Hospital, including two in critical conditions.
A 53-year-old woman and an 83-year-old man both suffered significant life-threatening airway burns in the fire. They both remain in a critical condition.
A 55-year-old man was transported to hospital with minor burns and is in a stable condition.
Neighbours were forced to evacuate as firefighters battled the blaze, which took several hours to bring under control.
“A crime scene has been declared, and investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing,” a statement from Queensland Police read.
Investigators are appealing to any witnesses or anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward.
