A teenage boy has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after he dove from a wharf at a popular beach.

A teenage boy has been airlifted to hospital after he sustained serious spinal injuries when diving from a wharf into the water at a popular beach.
NSW Ambulance paramedics were called to Terrigal on the NSW Central Coast just before 3pm on Saturday following reports of injuries sustained in a dive.
Paramedics treated the boy for serious spinal injuries sustained while jumping off the wharf into the water.
He was given critical care at the scene before being transferred to the Mounties Care CareFlight Helicopter.
The teen was then flown to Royal North Shore Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
