Two teens charged after police pursuit ends in chaotic crash
Two teens have been charged and another four are in hospital after a police chase across Sydney’s inner suburbs on Sunday morning.

Two teenage boys have been charged and another four are in hospital under police guard following a pursuit across Sydney’s inner suburbs on Sunday morning.
It’s alleged that the boys were inside a stolen car which was involved in a police pursuit before crashing into a pole at Mascot.
Officers tried to pull over the hatchback, which had been reported as stolen, on Erskineville Road, Erskineville just after midnight, NSW Police said.
Police have alleged the driver failed to stop and officers began a pursuit which ended at Botany Rd, Mascot, where the car careened into a pole.
Six teenage boys – five aged 14 and one aged 15 – fled from the vehicle, police allege.
All boys were found nearby after a police helicopter was flown in to assist.
The 14-year-old alleged driver was treated by paramedics at the scene and taken to Sydney Children’s Hospital in a stable condition.
The other passengers were also taken to hospital as a precaution.
Two boys were released from hospital on Sunday and taken to Mascot Police Station where they were each charged with one count of being carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner.
They will appear before a children’s court on August 4.
The other four boys remain in hospital under police guard.
The car had initially been reported stolen some time between Friday and Saturday.
After searching the stolen hatchback police found a balaclava, gloves and mobile phones, all of which will be examined further.
Police are investigating the incident and have asked anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
