Primary school-aged boy fighting for life after being struck by car in inner-city Brisbane

A child has been rushed to hospital with “possibly life-threatening” injuries after being struck by a car.

A child is fighting for life in hospital after he were struck by a vehicle in inner Brisbane.

Emergency services were called following reports of a vehicle and pedestrian incident on Payne Rd and Blucher Ave in The Gap about 1.13pm on Friday.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesman said the boy was taken to the Queensland Children's’ Hospital in a “possibly life-threatening condition”.

It’s understood they boy is of primary school age.
