BODY-WORN cameras for Queensland paramedics should be trialled as soon as possible in a bid to prevent more assaults, the opposition says.

TRIALS of body-worn cameras for Queensland paramedics should be fast-tracked in the wake of a vicious attack on an ambulance officer, the opposition says.

LIBERAL National Party deputy leader John-Paul Langbroek says the government is dragging its heels on the issue, and says it's imperative that emergency workers are protected from assaults.
