A teenage girl has died after being kicked by a horse in a quiet regional town.

A regional town has been rocked by the death of a 16-year-old girl who was kicked by a horse.
Emergency services responded to the incident at a property on Sandy Creek Road, Dunedoo in regional NSW at 4pm on Friday, after reports that the child had been injured from a horse.
Despite best efforts, the girl died at the scene.
Orana Mid-Western Police District officers are now preparing a report for the NSW coroner.
This comes after another incident in Wallerawang, near Lithgow NSW where a young girl was airlifted to hospital after being kicked by a horse, and sustained severe abdominal injuries.
