Child, adult killed in buggy rollover in regional Victoria

Two people - a child and an adult - have been killed in a buggy rollover in an isolated corner of the country.

A child and an adult have been killed in an incident involving a buggy in regional Victoria.

The crash happened in the area of Tubbut, near the eastern New South Wales border.

Emergency services found the pair dead at the scene.

The buggy rollover was reported to have rolled about 11pm on Saturday, at a property in Tubbut.

“The adult driver and a child passenger were sadly located at the scene deceased,” police said in a statement.

Another child was taken to hospital with no-life threatening injuries, and an adult was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Police are yet to formally identify the people who lost their lives.

The incident happened at a property on McKillops Road, near Collings Track.

Police continue to investigate. Tubbut is a hilly region on the northern edge of Victoria’s Gippsland region, just south of Mount Tingaringy and the Alpine National Park.
