CCTV footage released after 18yo man stabbed in Sydney’s east

Police have released CCTV footage of two men they wish to speak with after an 18-year-old was stabbed outside a venue in Sydney’s east.

Police have released footage of two men they believe could assist in their investigation into the stabbing of an 18-year-old in Sydney’s east last week.

The 18-year-old man was standing with his friends outside a licensed premises in Maroubra at about 11pm on Sunday, December 21 when they were approached by two unknown men.

Police allege one of the men, described as being in his 20s and wearing a face mask, stabbed the teenager.

The 18-year-old’s stab wounds were treated at the scene and a crime scene established.

Newly released footage shows two men running from the area near the time of the stabbing.

NSW Police say one of the men is described as being aged in his 20s and of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander appearance with a rat’s tail hairstyle. He is said to have been wearing a white hat, a red and navy jumper with a motif, black tracksuit pants, and white shoes.

The other man is described as being in his 20s and wearing a black jumper and shorts with a white bucket hat and white shoes, according to police.

The two men were seen leaving the premises in a white vehicle.

NSW Police are urging anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam vision to contact the Maroubra police station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
