TOURISM chiefs are firing up a strategy to boost the sector by $6.5 billion a year by almost doubling the number of visitors to the Brisbane region — and persuading those who already come to stay a day longer.
The plan would create up to 70,000 extra jobs by 2031 and propel the city into the top 100 global destinations.
