STAR Cat Jeremy Cameron has been awarded The Addy MVP for his round 2 performance against Carlton.
The key forward led the resurgence from Geelong in almost toppling the Blues with 25 disposals, six goals, eight marks and 592 metres gained.
Cameron, who is under an injury cloud this week after a heavy hit from Blue Blake Acres, earned an astonishing 93 per cent of the votes from the public.
Rising star Sam De Koning finished second in the voting with just two per cent for his 14 disposal, four mark game in the eight-point loss on Thursday.
De Koning entered the game sore after sustaining a minor knee injury in round 1, and still had his knee heavily strapped at training after the loss to Carlton, but he is not expected to miss any time.
Veteran midfielder Cam Guthrie also earned some votes from the public for his 25 disposals, six marks, four tackles and two clearances.
He also had 531 metres gained and came alive as the game wore on, being a major influencer in the second half.
Debutant Jack Bowes was also named in Geelong’s best by the voters, being awarded for his 20 touches on debut.
Bowes laid five tackles, had three clearances and took two marks to go with his touches, and had a chance to kick a goal but his shot was wayward.
Small forward Gryan Miers was also given a vote as the fifth-best Cat on ground for his 18 disposals, five marks, three tackles and three goal assists.
He could have impacted the scoreboard more as well, kicking 0.2 on the night.
