Local businesses experiencing skill shortages can now search over 8,000 jobseekers registered in the Northern Territory Government WorkerConnect portal.

The WorkerConnect portal is an online platform that connects Northern Territory businesses with local, national and international jobseekers.

Updates to WorkerConnect now makes it easier for businesses to search for over 8,000 jobseekers.

Recent updates to the WorkerConnect platform will make it easier for businesses to find the workers they need quickly.

Enhanced features include a new search alert function for employers.

Businesses can set up custom notifications to receive alerts when candidates with relevant skills upload a new resume in the portal.

Businesses can still search for job seekers based on skills, experience and work rights. They can also post their job vacancies on the platform at no cost.

The industry search pages have been refreshed to include clear and defined job search tiles that display industry sub-categories.

This new layout makes searching for industry related jobs more intuitive and an all-round improved browsing experience.

Jobseekers will also benefit from upgrades to the WorkerConnect platform with enhanced search capabilities for regions and postcodes.
