THE Chinchilla Melon Festival is done and dusted for another year.
It's time to pack away those green and pink capes and throw out the watermelon cut-out helmets.
We all now have fond memories of watermelon skiing and cardboard box chariot racing to get us through the next two years until we're #blessed with another "euphoric Queensland" event.
This year about 20,000 people headed to the Western Downs town to celebrate the refreshing fruit in scorching heat. Many jumped at the chance to head out west, down a can of XXXX and dig out the bucket hats.
