Dashcam allegedly captures drunk ute driver doing burnout in front of ACT police car
Dashcam video from a cop car has captured the moment an alleged drunk driver made the mistake of doing a burnout in front of them.

A ute driver allegedly three times over the legal limit has been filmed performing a burnout directly in front of a marked police car on quiet streets in suburban Canberra.
ACT Police were on patrol in Gilmore just before 6pm Friday when a Toyota ute pulled out of a driveway in front of them.
The 31-year-old driver seemingly did not clock the marked police vehicle behind and began revving the engine.
Thick grey smoke started curling up from the burning tyres, clouding the air.
The burnout allegedly went on for roughly 20 seconds before the car sped off down the street.
Police followed the driver to the end of the street before setting off their sirens in a flash of blue and red.
They pulled the driver over and performed a breath test for alcohol which came back with a positive sample of 0.151.
The legal limit is 0.05.
The man’s drivers’ licence was immediately suspended, and his vehicle seized.
He has been charged with drink driving and improper use of a motor vehicle.
