Video has emerged of an Aussie driver allegedly ignoring a police officer who had pulled him over for driving in an unregistered vehicle.

Police say the Queensland man was fined thousands of dollars and ordered to appear in court after two incidents in May, with footage of one interaction being published over the weekend.

In the video, taken from inside a car stopped on the side of Mount Cotton Rd southwest of Brisbane, a police officer can be seen at the driver’s side window.

“This car’s unregistered at the moment,” the officer says.

“All right, do you have driver’s license?”

A man filming the interaction replies “nup” before cutting off the cop who is trying to explain why he was pulled over.

“Yeah that’s good I’m just going about my day,” he says as the car begins to pull away.

The officer can be heard protesting as the driver leaves, who replies: “See ya later, brother.”

Footage then shows the vehicle travel across the highway and head in the opposite direction, as the cop jumps back in his highway patrol car.

The camera is then turned back on the driver who reaches for a strawberry and takes a bite.

In a statement, Queensland Police said a man allegedly failed to comply with police directions at Sheldon and Gumdale, on both May 12 and May 13 of this year.

A spokesperson said it would be alleged police intercepted an unregistered Nissan Patrol on Mount Cotton Rd on May 12, before the driver failed to comply with an officer and drove away.

The same vehicle was allegedly intercepted the following day on Tilley Rd at Gumdale, but the driver allegedly drove away before officers could approach the car.

A 32-year-old Algester man presented to Capalaba Police Station on May 14 and was given a notice to appear in court for two counts of evade police, and two counts of driving without a driver's licence.

He was due to appear at Cleveland Magistrates Court on June 26.

Police said the man was also issued with more than $3900 in fines for driving an unregistered vehicle, driving uninsured, using plates issued to another vehicle, using a handheld mobile phone and failing to keep left of double continuous lines.
