Though it doesn’t roll off the tongue quite as naturally as “Lambo Guy”, there's no doubt “Koenigsegg Guy” makes one hell of a statement.
Australian entrepreneur Adrian Portelli, famous for lavish giveaways through his LMCT+ raffle offering, has taken delivery of one of the world’s most expensive cars.
The high-profile collector has snapped up a Koenigsegg Jesko, an incredibly exotic machine worth around $6.5 million.
Portelli’s example, spotted on Victorian roads this weekend, is particularly lavish.
Though it appears black from the distance, the car is finished in bare carbon fibre with gold highlights that set it apart from the handful of Jesko coupes already delivered to wealthy customers overseas.
Powered by a twin-turbocharged 5.0-litre V8, the Jesko makes a claimed 1600 horsepower – almost 1200kW – when run on E85 fuel.
Portelli has a close relationship with Christian von Koenigsegg, founder of the Swedish supercar company, having bought at least three of its cars.
The Aussie told News Corp in 2022 that “I’ve never met a more humble, down-to-earth bloke”.
“He had the time of day for everyone, whether they were 15 or 80. Just a really good bloke,” Portelli said.
“Ever since I was young, I’ve loved my cars and now I can buy some of the ones I’ve always dreamt of owning. It’s a blessing.
“Every purchase is calculated. They’ve probably made me more than a million dollars this year,” he said. in 2022
The car joins an impressive fleet of vehicles that has included several Lamborghini supercars, an ultra-rare Holden HSV GTSR W1 ute and a McLaren P1 GTR that he had craned into the loungeroom of his Melbourne penthouse.
Portelli shot to fame buying properties on The Block – and giving them away to members of his prize club.
He paid more than $12 million for properties featured on the hit TV show in 2023, before doubling down to spend more than $15 million on a Phillip Island resort renovated throughout the show last year.
When the properties were offered as a prize, the lucky winner chose to take $8 million in cash rather than taking ownership of five homes that featured in the show.
Portelli also made headlines in 2025 for paying Nine presenter Alex Cullen $50,000 to call him “McLaren Man” rather than “Lambo Guy”, and for encouraging social media followers to bully Herald Sun journalist Fiona Byrne.
