A woman in the Markdown Australia Facebook group has sent budget shoppers into a frenzy after sharing how she saved $1500 on a recent order from The Iconic. 

Inspired by her success, fellow bargain hunters took to the site to try their luck, scoring similarly epic hauls and posting about them in the group.

The fashion retailer is currently hosting their End of Financial Year sale with discounts of up to 70% across a tonne of items.

 You'll find sales on winter clothing, activewear, workwear, shoes, beauty and accessories, but you'll have to get in quick as it's wrapping up on June 5th!

The Iconic EOFY sale sends bargain hunters into a frenzy 

Shopper Chloe Hosking posted to the group and wrote, "Can't get enough of how much I saved 😍" alongside a screenshot of her order receipt. 

It shows that she bought 23 items coming to a total of $1950.59, but with the EOFY sales, her cart was reduced by a whopping $1533.65.

In case that wasn't impressive enough, she also used an extra coupon for another $75 off (HEYICONIC75 works when you spend over $350). This left her with a final total of just $341.94. 

Chloe's post received 468 likes and 138 comments, with fellow group members praising her for her markdown win, sharing their own experiences and asking for advice about how to successfully shop the sale.

'Just saved $600 on newborn clothes for my soon-to-be bub!'

"Thanks so much for posting, this is epic!" one person wrote. 

"I have some bassinet sheets I've been eyeing off that are now down to just $5 - I wouldn't have known so thanks so much!" said another fan.

Then this person said, "Such a good saving! I did some shopping for my kids and was so happy with the savings."

And this woman below did some shopping for herself and her baby and saved $1227.91 on a $1435.94 shop, spending a total of $208.03.

She shared some photos of her cart, which included a Bubbysuit down from $31.98 to $4.77 and a sleepsuit down from $49.95 to $7.47.

Someone replied to her writing: "I just saved over $600 on newborn clothes for my soon-to-be bub! 🎉 Thank you so much for sharing!!!"

Perhaps one of the biggest winners of the sale was this woman below who scored SIX pieces from Aussie womenswear label Tussah for just $63!!! Originally her order cost $679.78 but she saved $616.78 in the sale!

Her cart included floral two-piece sets, workwear dresses and off-the-shoulder linen frocks.

The best tips and tricks to shop the sale

Navigating a sale can be nothing short of exhausting, that's why we've compiled a list of the best tips and tricks from the bargain pros in the Aussie Markdown Facebook group. 

1. Select your gender and press 'all clothing', filter to your size and then sort the items 'price low to high'.

2. The early bird gets the worm and the same goes here. Start shopping ASAP to ensure the best selection of items in your size.

3. Search by brand in order to quickly narrow down your searches to items that you're looking for.

4. Stock up on summer buys to get ahead of the season.

5. If you shop for three selected sale items you can save even more.

5. Educate yourself about their returns policy, as most sale items can't be returned.

6. Make sure you're on the official website as there are a lot of scams happening.
