A Brisbane mother has warned parents to be “vigilant” after her shocking discovery of a syringe in a discarded chocolate milkshake container.
Jacinda Clark was on her morning run when she found the used syringe “in plain sight” outside a restaurant in Wilston.
Ms Clark said she was disgusted.
“As a mother of a two-year-old whose family dines at (the restaurant) often I was disgusted that someone (most likely a fellow resident) would leave this here,” she said.
“This is a warning to all parents and even dog owners to be vigilant, even in plain sight.”

Ms Clark said she would spread awareness to other residents around the community.
“I appreciate and am generally comfortable sharing our home with all warps of life and I do not discriminate,” she said.
“If you choose to use, that is your decision, but do not leave your dirty syringes on our streets!”
