Wackadoo! Bluey garden gnomes are back in Bunnings

It's official! A heap of "husbands" were spread around a store for the exciting announcement.

Bluey gnomes are coming back to stores

Save your dollarbucks, pups. In happy news that will rival our favourite Heeler family not selling their home in season 4, Bunnings has announced they're bringing back their popular Bluey garden gnomes!

The Aussie warehouse confirmed the news on social media with cute videos spotting various gnomes (or "husbands" as fans like to refer to them as) placed around their store.

"It's official! Bluey gnomes are coming back to Bunnings!" the clip was captioned.

When Bluey gnomes are back in Bunnings

Along with the footage came a few more details about when and where we can expect to see the gnomes.

A selection of different $19 gnomes will be available in ALL Australian Bunnings stores from August 3rd 2024 (as well as in New Zealand) but fans have got to be quick because they'll be there for as long as stocks last. And we all know that's going to be pretty fast given how popular they were last time they were in store!

Speaking of potentially selling out, many people hit the comments to remind Bunnings to order enough stock this time.

"Please get enough this time. Be prepared that the whole of Australia wants at least 2 each," one keen shopper wrote.

"I hope you made enough this time," another agreed.

And another insisted they needed lots of stock because she wanted "1 of each".

Bluey fans are excited!

Most shoppers were just thrilled that the much-loved garden decoration was back and were feeling hopeful to nab one given their popularity and love for the ABC animation.

"This is not a drill!!" one person excitedly shared.

"Hopefully I get one this time," another added while others said there needed to be "purchase limits" - particularly for those wanting to nab the much-loved Hecuba.

In the many comments, Bunnings confirmed there would be a limit to how many people can order.

"We want to make access to Bluey garden gnomes as fair as possible, so there is a limit of four gnomes per customer," they shared.

Bluey merch sold for ridiculous prices online

Shortly after the Bunnings Hammerbarn range was first released earlier this year, fans couldn't believe their eyes when they spotted some "husbands" fetching big dollarbucks online.

In March, members of the Bluey Fan Club Facebook group were outraged to see one set of the merchandise priced at a whopping $650 on auction portal, eBay.

“$650!!” commented Tiff. “Wow I knew this would happen. I only got one husband, I never even thought to buy extras to sell. People suck!”

Another fan, Melissa, was just as angry.

“Such a shame, little kids get so excited to go in store only miss out because of people like this. I get adults are fans and want them too but to buy them only to try to resell and this price ridiculous.”

Bunnings General Manager of Merchandise, Adrian Pearce, told Kidspot that he was disappointed to see people reselling them for inflated prices online.

“We knew a husband for $19 was a great deal but the demand for Bluey garden gnomes exceeded our expectations with all stock now sold out,” he said at the time.

“We’re disappointed to see a small number of people re-selling Bluey products online at inflated prices and we don’t support this behaviour in any way. However, we are excited to share that more Bluey garden gnomes will be back in all stores later this year."

Good to see they kept their promise! Now go get yourselves a husband, friends. Or two... or three... just no more than four!
