Buy from the Bush Festival will descend on Summer Land Camel Farm in the Scenic Rim on September 18 to showcase what makes the bush special.
The Ekka’s cancellation dealt a blow to regional producers and the inaugural Harrisville festival is aimed at reuniting friends from the city and the bush to experience the best of a boutique country market.
Festival co-founder Kerri Brennan said makers and growers from as far as Longreach had committed to the one-day celebration.
Summer Land Camels chief executive Paul Martin said his proud “bush business” couldn't wait to host fellow producers.
“We have live music, camel rides, farm tours, kids’ games, face painting, guest speakers and other activities – it’ll be the best of the bush, right on the doorstep of the city.”
