'She can’t leave the room now?': Kmart storage solution baffles internet

While the product is meant to be "game-changing" for drying clothes in small spaces, viewers pointed out one glaring problem... Can you see it?

Space saving solution confused internet

"No space, no problem," begins a video on Kmart's Facebook page promoting their latest laundry storage solution.

While they claim the Behind The Door Airer, $15, is "game-changing" for drying clothes in small spaces, viewers pointed out a glaring problem.

The dryer fits snuggly over a door and is held in place by magnets. But if you mount the clothesline on the back of the door, how on earth do you open it to get out?

"Stuck in the wall"

"Might be a blonde moment, but if you have the door closed while in the laundry, and you have it all set up with clothes in it, how do you open the door to get inside the house?" one person who was left scratching their head wrote.

"Isn’t she stuck in the room now?" someone else questioned, while a third joked, "Is she just going to stand in the laundry waiting for the clothes to dry?"

Then others pointed out that if the woman tried to leave the room, she would damage the wall in the process.

"This works until you open the door, then the great idea is gone. It's stuck in the wall!" one woman remarked. "Also known as the 'smashed through the wall' airer," another quipped.

And another mum added: "Even if I had another exit point, I could just see my kids opening that door and smashing the rack into the wall."

"Make sure you have another exit"

Many happy customers defended the item despite the confusion, saying it was a great purchase.

"I have this hanging on my back door. We don't use that door, and it is brilliant for items that can't go in the dryer," one user wrote.

Another added, "I love mine. Just make sure you have another exit to the room you're using it in!"

Meanwhile, others said it was great for taking on holidays, such as camping or caravanning trips.

"This is so clever, going to take it away on the long weekend," revealed one.
