Katie Hopkins revealed she considered hiring a ‘hit man to kill’ her husband

The controversial UK personality made a jaw-dropping admission about what she did when her husband left her for his mistress: “No joke.”

A far-right British commentator who was previously deported from Australia has made a jaw-dropping admission about her extreme response to her ex-husband leaving her for his mistress.

Katie Hopkins, who was axed from her role on Channel 7’s Big Brother VIP after being booted from the country for her Covid-19 rants during hotel quarantine in 2021, has opened up about her failed two-year marriage to former marine Damian McKinney.

The pair, who formed a relationship when Damian was still married to his first wife, share two daughters together India, 19, and Poppy, 17.

But their marriage broke down hours after their youngest daughter was born, with Hopkins recently revealing what she considered doing after she was left alone to look after their young children while Damian allegedly went off with his other woman.

“There’s some things I’ve not talked of ever, yeah, I’ve packaged this away fairly successfully,” she told the Anything Goes with James English podcast recently.

“I was left in the maternity ward with Poppy and he left. So I had the baby, he was sort of there, although he was chatting up the nurses. And then he left the next morning.

“I had to get a taxi home, so I had a one and a half year old, a one day old, and he’d gone – and I knew he was with the [other] lady.”

The 48-year-old, who has since remarried and had a son with husband Mark Cross, said the situation was “so brutal”, it led her to take desperate action.

“Once I started working through the things you have to deal with when that sort of thing happens; separating stuff, divorce papers, what you’re going to sell... you have to work through sh*t,” she continued.

“I honestly looked into, and I had routes to take out my husband. Not a joke, I had good bunch of contacts in the marines, because it felt much more... much more practical as a solution than going through the rigmarole.

“I felt for my daughters that when they grew up it would be much more reassuring for them to say, ‘Your father got killed in whatever, a car accident,’ than it would to say ‘Well your dad left you.’”

A snippet of the revelation titled “Katie Hopkins hired a hit man to kill her husband” was shared on TikTok by the podcast host, and has left many surprised.

“What!! Who does that! Blimey that’s outrageous,” one user commented.

“This explains soo much,” another remarked.

While one said: “She was the other woman in his marriage so karma?”

Remarkably, many users said they were in awe of Hopkins’ admission, stating she’s saying what so many have felt when cheated on by their partner.

“The only thing I’d agree on with her. Have thought of numerous ways myself!” one said.

“She says what we are all thinking,” another agreed.

As someone else stated: “Preach! If you have been through it you know she’s telling the truth!”

Thankfully, Hopkins appears to have had a change of heart. Mr McKinney is now a successful millionaire business man who has once again remarried.

Hopkins previously eluded to the fact she “wanted to kill” her ex in a 2015 interview about Mr McKinney leaving her.

“The day after I had Poppy, I got a taxi home from the hospital and Damian had already gone away with his new partner,” she told The Times.

“I had a brand new baby, another daughter under the age of one and I also worked for the company he owned. At the time I could have killed something – myself, him, someone.”

However, at the time many were unsympathetic, as she had been very open about the fact she “steals husbands”.

Similarly to Mr McKinney, her now husband Mark Cross was also married when she met him, with Hopkins once stating she “stole him”.

“Mark was a married man and yes I stole him. I stole my first husband as well – get over it,” she told The Sun in 2015.

“If you don’t look after your husband then I’ll take him – so do a better job…

“Some people think I’m a disgusting harlot who doesn’t deserve the chance to speak.

“Mark thinks he’s lucky – how many birds do you meet that want to have sex in a field?

“Not many.”

She addressed the sex in a field admission again during the podcast, telling James English “it worked” as 13 years later they were still together.

Over the years, Hopkins has built a successful career with her outspoken opinions on virtually everything, including UK politics, social class, migrants and race.

She has been accused of racism by journalists, advocacy groups and politicians for her comments about migrants.

She offended Australians ahead of her appearance on Big Brother VIP in 2021 when she likened Covid-19 to the flu, compared migrants to cockroaches and said people with dementia should not block hospital beds.

The mum-of-three also said she had been deliberately trying to defy hotel quarantine rules during her mandatory 14-day stint by opening her door to workers delivering her food naked.

“I’ve been told when they bring three meals a day to the door … I have to wait 30 seconds before opening the door,” she said.

“And then I can open the door but only with a face mask.”

Instead, she has said she has been “lying in wait” in the bathroom naked, sprinting to the door to “frighten the sh*t out of them [the workers] and do it naked with no face mask”.

As a result, her “critical skills” visa was cancelled by Home Affairs and she was sent home, before even making it on screen.
