A couple have hit back at nasty trolls who claim he bought a “maid”.

Evan and Stephanie met online, and he paid thousands to go out and meet her in the Philippines, travelling from the US.

The pair are now married, and Stephanie revealed she does all the housework including cooking, cleaning and washing, The Sun reported.

But because of their traditional relationship, Evan and Stephanie are trolled online.

“Stephanie is a great cook. I’m very lucky. She cooks everything. When people say Stephanie’s my maid, I don’t take it personal because I know that we are both happy and we have a good thing going between the two of us,” Evan told Love Don’t Judge.

Evan revealed he downloaded a Filipino dating app and met Stephanie and, after three weeks, decided to met her in person.

“Flying to the Philippines is not cheap. It’s about $2000 (AU$2998.95) round trip. I’d say I spend about $5000 (AU$7497.38) each trip. So about $15,000 for the three trips,” he explained.

He added that he had spent $20,000 ($29,989.50) to bring her to the US and start a life together.

After meeting up three times, the pair decided to elope and get married after 90 days of being together in the US and haven’t looked back since.

The pair added that they brush off most of the hate comments and try not to reply to too many.

However, they revealed that the interactions help them go viral, so they play into the nasty comments.

Despite some claiming Stephanie’s motivation for entering the marriage is money related, the pair reveal it’s true love.

Stephanie said: “Evan changed my life in a lot of ways also. I mean, aside from him bringing me here, that really changed my whole life.

“I feel more confident with myself because even if I look so bad waking up, you’re just, oh, you’re so beautiful.”

The clip soon went viral on YouTube with over 19,400 views and 700 likes.

People were quick to take to the comments in support of their relationship.

One person wrote: “They’re honestly pretty cute together. As long as it’s mutual and they’re both happy, good for them.”

Another commented: “She’s seems really genuine. I pray that it works out for them.”

“I see no problem here,” penned a third.

Meanwhile a fourth said: “They are too cute. It doesn’t seem like he went into the app desperate. He then saw her and something sparked. They are perfect for each other.”

“They’re such a cute couple. I wish them a beautiful lasting union,” claimed a fifth.

Someone else added: “All that matters is that they really love each other that’s it.”
