THE Sheppard sisters spill their brother George’s most embarrassing moment after he was left humiliated on stage during a gig in support of Keith Urban.
In an interview with Samara Wheeler, 12, for The Courier-Mail’s online series Tiny Edition, where kids interview celebrities, Amy and Emma from the successful Brisbane band, Sheppard, tell the story.
“Half way through the set George was looking in the crowd and a lady was holding up an envelope with a sign, he went over to her and it said, ‘your fly is undone’ … George was like ‘oh my god’, turned around and his fly was undone,” says Emma.
“He made this whole thing about it, got the sign off her and the camera zoomed in on it and it was a really funny moment, it was pretty embarrassing for George.”
Emma is quick to share her own faux pas after she left her bass in a New York City taxi realising an hour before the show.
“I lost it completely and never got it back,” she says.
They’re loved pop stars, bandmates and char toppers but throughout their interview the sisters keep it real sharing the funny sibling drama that goes on behind the scenes, revealing what causes the most fights.
“Probably the front seat,” Amy laughs, “You never grow out of that desire to get the front seat.”
Emma adds: “We still act like 10-year-olds.”
Samara covers the big topics including Amy’s first song at 12-years-old, the best and worst parts of being a sibling-band and the little fan stuns when they all sing a rendition of Sheppard song, Coming Home.
The Sheppards are the latest stars to join the Tiny Edition desk with guests to come including Wally Lewis, Usman Khawaja and Osher Gunsberg.
