Welcome to the incredible wardrobe of Samantha Jade where you’ll find a healthy mix of basics, classics and denim – she leaves colour, drama and trends for performances only.

When it comes to her daily dressing routine, Samantha favours black blazers, ’50s feminine influences and Balenciaga pumps, with the likes of Victoria Beckham providing style inspiration.

While a Chanel bag is still on the wish list, I’m impressed by her Fendi preloved purchase – it’s clear she has a talent for bargain hunting.

How would you describe your style?

I stick to basic colours and designs and rarely follow trends. I like very classic, chic vibes.

Who are your style icons?

I love Victoria Beckham and Audrey Hepburn and I do like some of Kim Kardashian’s choices.

What’s the oldest thing in your wardrobe?

I have a double-breasted black blazer that I have had for years. It never goes out of fashion and always looks good.

What are your favourite brands?

It always changes for me. I love so many but I think the places I shop at most would be Bec + Bridge, Balenciaga, Incu and Bayse brand for basics.

What’s the most you have spent on an outfit?

When I was in New York recently, I could not find an outfit for a show. My team and I went to Barneys, and I found this incredible sequin blazer, it was $1000 but I now wear it at all my shows.

Have you ever made a style faux pas?

Absolutely. So many. I think I used to try and follow trends and didn’t realise that not every new trend is for me. Now I stick to what suits my body and vibe.

What is the most surprising thing about your wardrobe?

Probably that I don’t have many gowns or dresses. I mostly have suits, trousers, and blazers. I’m lucky enough to borrow most outfits for events.

Top three wardrobe must haves?

A good fitting black blazer, blue jeans and an oversized white shirt.

What is the most sentimental item in your wardrobe?

I have a coat that belonged to my nana.

What would you buy if money was no object?

A Chanel flap bag. They are so classic and beautiful, but I cannot justify $10k.

Is there anything in your wardrobe you regret throwing out?

I used to have this long, black, classic trenchcoat that would never have gone out of fashion. I regret that so much!

How many pairs of shoes do you own?

Probably 100.

Best designer fashion purchase this year?

My Balenciaga Knife point pumps. They are the perfect shape, heel height and they go with everything.

Best bargain fashion purchase this year?

I bought the cutest Fendi shirt on Depop. It’s vintage and was cheap.
