You know it’s love when the groom-to-be drives seven hours straight to deliver the perfect sunset proposal. William Slack planned to propose to Stephanie Fowler in Italy, however Covid had different plans.
“Will decided he wouldn’t wait,’’ Steph says.
“He was working in Brisbane for a few weeks and finished early on a Saturday.
“He drove the seven-hour trip back to Rockhampton hoping to make it by sunset. He made it just in time and proposed on our back deck, to my complete surprise!’’
The Bli Bli couple – who met on Tinder three years ago – married on July 10 in front of 90 guests at Weddings at Tiffanys at Maleny.
Their first dance was to Forever Begins Tonight by The McClymonts, and enjoyed a one-week honeymoon on Hamilton Island.

What would you do differently?
Nothing. The day was everything we had hopedfor and more.
What would you spend more or less on?
Nothing. We set a budget and we stuck to it.

We were very lucky to come out of a snap lockdown a week before the wedding so everything went ahead as planned.
