How did you meet?
Jax had attempted the Instagram DM slide-in a few times (initially unsuccessful). However, we ran into each other at a bar – I was with my friends and he was with his. We ran into each other, introduced ourselves and started chatting.
What was the first thing you noticed about him?
His eyes! He has very nice, kind eyes (with eyelashes I constantly envy!).
When did you first know it was love?
When I was constantly excited/nervous when I saw his name pop up on my phone!
What was your most standout date?
We went to Elements in Byron Bay recently for our anniversary and spent the night around a gorgeous fire, drinking cocktails, listening to music and playing cards. It was just us there so it felt very intimate and romantic.
What is the most romantic thing he has ever done for you?
When we were living in different states for a period of time, he wrote me letters outlining his favourite things about me or his favourite things we do together.
What is the secret to a happy relationship?
Good communication and honesty! If something is bothering us, it’s always best to speak up and work through whatever it is.
What do you argue the most about?
Golf … It will be the death of me.
What do you find the most annoying about each other?
How often he talks about his golf handicap …
Who does the most cooking?
He does. I am a terrible cook.
What is the trait you like most about him?
His sense of humour. I could be having a terrible day and he will always know how to make me laugh! He is also very kind, caring, loyal and always makes me feel so special.

How did you meet?
We met at a bar (Mr Percival’s). I knew who Bronte was from Instagram but I never had the chance to meet her. I saw her out one night and we started talking and we never looked back from then.
What was the first thing you noticed about her?
Her big beautiful smile, anyone who knows her would agree too!
When did you first know it was love?
On our first date when she was driving a Mustang. I thought she was the coolest person I’d ever come across. I knew then that I’d found someone pretty special.
What was your most standout date?
Onsen hot spas in New Zealand on her birthday. We went there as the sun was setting, had some nice wine and chocolate in the bath overlooking the river and mountains.
What’s the most romantic thing she’s ever done for you?
She made a video of all the fun things we had done. We lived in different states for a period of time so that video was nice to watch when I was missing her.
What is the secret to a happy relationship?
For me it’s reminding myself of how lucky I am to be with someone like Bronts and not being complacent. I still try to impress her and make her feel special with little acts of kindness as she does the same for me.
What do you argue the most about?
We don’t really argue but when we do it’s probably because I have played golf on a weekend. Bronts gets weekends off work so that’s usually our time to hangout and do fun things.
What do you find the most annoying about each other?
Bronts love to sleep in and I enjoy getting up early.
Who does the most cooking?
Myself! Bronts doesn’t get home from work until 7.30pm so it’s hard for her to cook.
What’s the trait you like most about her?
She’s so supportive and caring. She makes great sacrifices in her life to support my career. A lot of the time being a professional athlete you can’t do things that most people do for fun. Bronts never complains when we can’t do those things.
