A Brisbane man has received threatening anonymous letters in his letterbox warning him to “keep ya (sic) mongrel dog quiet” or his pet would “be shut up for good”.
Windsor resident Rob Timson said he received a letter in December warning him to “shut ya (sic) mongrel dog up from barking or we will. Last chance.”
He said another letter came this month labelled “final warning”.
Mr Timson has insisted that it was not his dog that was barking in the neighbourhood, with claims four other people had received letters of a similar nature.
“We f---ing told you before but now you better kiss that mongrel dog goodbye coz (sic) we have had a gut full of its barking day and f — ing night and we work shiftwork,” the letter said.
“Have some manners and keep it inside or else it will be shut up for good.”
The letter also claims Mr Timson’s rottweiler Dozer tried to attack anyone who walked past.
“Dead mongrel dog will be your fault. No more warning asshole.”
Mr Timson said the letters have left their family in fear that their beloved dog, whom he described as a big sook, would be harmed.
“We had to put cameras up everywhere and I check the yard every day for baits,” he said.
Police are investigating the incident.
