Brisbane’s most obsessed dog owners have taken their love to the next level, lavishing their pups with custom doggie “paw-ties”.
Party companies specifically for dogs are popping up around the city, featuring all the trimmings of any Insta-worthy ’do.
Brisbane craft beer brewery BrewDog offers “bark-cuterie” boards and “puppy-cinos” as part of dog celebrations at their Fortitude Valley and Murrarie locations.
Spokeswoman Isabella Michaels said the brewery — which also donates $1 from every Hoppy Tails beer to RSPCA Queensland — hosts up to 10 fury pals for parties, and will dress them for the occasion.
“What is there not to love about a dog in a party hat?” she said.
Owner of Carindale party business 3SpoiltDogs Tanya Williams revealed the list of party staples, all transformed for Fido, that doting owners love.
“We send out invitations to the dog’s friends, style the room with doggie themed decorations, supply party hats and treats and doggie birthday cake,” Mrs Williams said.
“It’s a great way to do something different and we consult with the owners on their desired theme and how we can personalise the party for them,” she said.
Sleepovers, movie nights and Christmas parties are also not out of the question at Geebung-based Dash Dogz Daycare.
Party host Matison Lavery said birthday guests could take a dip in their bone shaped pool and play on inflatable toys with their Hawaiian party package.
“People dress up their dogs to fit the theme, the dogs are so excited to see each other,” Miss Lavery said.
