'The baby name my wife chose for our kid is grounds for divorce'

"Even though both her, and her family, is pressuring me...  I refuse to sign the birth certificate."

Gender reveal disappointment is a very real thing. Here are some of the most emotional ones we've seen.

A wife has proven herself to be a little sneaky when she got her husband to agree upon a name for their expected baby.

She had originally suggested her deceased ex-partner's first name, but the husband firmly rejected it.

Then she 'innocently' offered another name, which the man liked... until he found out where the idea came from.

"I've had it with her"

TikTok account @redditdoodle shared a story the man's story, explaining the man's wife lost her husband about eight years ago, when she was pregnant with his child.

Sadly, she miscarried the unborn baby not long after her husband died suddenly.

Now, the new husband and his wife are expecting their first son together, and she has suggested her ex-husband's name, James.

"My wife tried to trick me when naming our son"

Now, the new husband and his wife are expecting their first son together, and she has suggested her ex-husband's name, James.

The man has told her gently but firmly that it's a nice name, but he does not want to name their son after her ex.

So the wife offered, "Oliver."

The husband was happy with that, and so it was agreed upon... until the wife's sister was visiting three days later.

When she heard about Oliver, she revealed that it was the ex-husband's middle name.

"I've had it with her trying to push her ex into our lives like this," the husband said.

Defiant and unapologetic, the wife noted that the couple had already agreed on the name Oliver. The husband responded that he wouldn't sign the birth certificate if she names their son after her ex. Together with her mother, the man is being pressured to accept the name.

Luckily, the wife's sister has been a voice of reason, and expressed that it's "weird" to name their child after her sister's ex-husband, even if it's just the middle name.

"Divorce her and marry the sister"

Comments mostly sided with the husband, with viewers agreeing it was a strangely unnecessary thing for the wife to do.

"Divorce her and marry her sister," one insisted.

"Leave, let the dead husband carry the name and the responsibilities if he can rise from his grave," another brutally snapped.

A third wrote, "It's disrespectful to her new husband because it shows she is more emotionally-attached to a dead man than her living husband."

While others felt they should give the man the brutal truth.

"She lost him? He died? Well, they didn't break up then she still loves him, I am sorry."

There were also some who thought the man was being somewhat unfair.

"I understand not wanting it as a first name, but he should compromise and accept it as a middle name."

And then there was this: "It is just a name."
