"Lifting her head, crawling and talking"

In a seemingly new TikTok account, mum Samantha Elizabeth shared footage of her newborn, Nyilah Daise, which she's captioned, "I still can't believe this happened."

Text over screen reads: "POV your daughter is three days old, and is lifting her head, crawling and talking."

Undoubtedly, the little babe is on the move - and it is incredible footage to see.

"What type of baby is that?"

The video has a massive 41 million views, and 55k comments. Many viewers were utterly amazed by what they saw, and wrote supportive comments.

Some were concerned about the baby, writing, "Show the doctors, something could be wrong," and, "What type of baby is that?"

Others proposed that, "pandemic babies are built differently," and "babies today are a different breed."

But many of the comments suggest a basic, common reason for the remarkable footage: newborn baby reflexes.

Nurses and mums explained that commonly witnessed such reflexes, and their child did the same things, because of the movements were about seeking comfort and food.

"I'm a midwife, I can confirm there's nothing wrong, this is natural," one wrote.

And a mum said, "How does nobody know this? Each of my babies did this."

Another added, "My son did exactly this the day after he was born 1997. Doc simply said, 'good luck with Hercules!' LOL."

One simply explained: "This is what babies do when you put them on their tummies."

And yes, there were many who jumped in to share stories of their 'advanced' babies reaching milestones early.

But then some mums-to-be were worried by the baby's early movement, with one even claiming, "Um I'm due in six days, if my baby comes out doing this, she's staying at the hospital."
