Mum shares 9yo's delusional Christmas list

In case you don't have a tween (or haven't been on social media lately) - the kids are growing up too fast!

And do you know what that means? Simple Christmas wish lists are over.

Say goodbye to Barbie Dolls and say hello to luxury items and brand-name skincare.

One mum, Annabel Macias Havill, took to TikTok recently to discuss exactly this - a reality many parents are facing as we get closer to Christmas.

"This girl's nuts"

"I just found out that my nine-year-old thinks we live in a different tax bracket," she quipped in the now-viral clip

Havil then shared screenshots of some of the items that her daughter asked for, including Ugg slippers, $166, Nike sneakers, $184, a Sol de Janeiro gift box, $63, Lululemon pants, $139, an Apple watch, $538, and a skincare gift box, $128.

Her commentary ranges from, "This girl's nuts" to "Oh, hell no!"

"Girl, I use, like, Nivea on my face," she jokes, referencing the expensive skincare on the list.

"I don't think she's gotten the memo about inflation or the economy right now.

"There isn't even a single toy on this list."

"My tween asked for similar stuff - I told her to re-do it!"

The video struck a chord with mums in the comments, with one saying, "OMG, yesss - this is like my daughter's list."

"My tween asked for similar stuff, I told her to re-do it!" another mum said.

"Nice to hear I'm not alone," admitted someone else.

"They really shoot their shot, hey?" another replied.

Others blamed too much screen time and influencer culture for tweens' desire for upmarket products.

"100% a TikTok-inspired Christmas list," one stated.

Someone else shared, "I keep seeing mums post their kids' wishlists and the items are all so similar. The influencers are really influencing these days."
