A US couple has sparked outrage after sharing footage of their six-month-old son apparently getting tattooed.
Jayda Harris and her husband took their tot, Stetson, to have a design inked on his leg back in August, filming the milestone moment for TikTok.
The resulting “babies with tattoos” video – which has now gone viral, clocking up more than 14 million views – shows the boy sitting on his dad’s lap as a tattoo artist applies a love heart with the word “Mom” written on the inside of it, the New York Post reports.
As the artist works, little Stetson appears to be both confused and alarmed – much like the horrified viewers who commented on the controversial clip.

Many slammed the parents for tattooing their child, with one raging: “Why would you get your baby a tattoo? Like what the f**k is wrong with you people?”
“Isn’t that illegal?” another concerned TikToker asked, before a third simply stated: “No, no, no.”
However, several others realised what was really going on. They explained in the comments section that the baby’s body art wasn’t a permanent inking, but rather an airbrush tattoo that would (hopefully) wash off within a few days.
“Was concerned before I took a second look lol, it’s so frickin’ cute,” one viewer wrote.
“That’s so cute, it’s kinda like face paint,” a second fan said.
The video has continued to clock up viewers in the past three months, forcing Stetson’s mum Jayda to post a follow-up clip last week confirming it was indeed an airbrush tattoo.
“I’m not exactly sure of the paint she [the artist] used,” the mum explained.
“We had this done while we were at our local zoo. She did confirm it was non-toxic paint. It came off the same night.”
Meanwhile, baby Stetson isn’t the only inked-up baby to go viral on TikTok of late.
Just last week, a tattoo artist in the US was blasted for giving a toddler a tattoo.
That clip similarly sparked outraged – and 26 million views – before it was eventually revealed that it was a temporary stencil tattoo.
