A mum has sparked outrage after admitting she refuses to do her step-daughter’s washing or take her to the doctors.

The mum took to TikTok to share a video listing all the things she doesn’t do for her step-daughter that she will do for her biological daughter.

She also shared that she refuses to buy her step-daughter’s clothes for school, or attend any of her parent-teacher meetings.

The Sun reports the mum said she was not “first, second, third or fourth” in line to look after her step-daughter when her partner wasn’t available, and she also doesn’t discipline her step-daughter.

She also doesn’t communicate at all with her step-daughter’s mum to arrange who is looking after her at any given time.

"She doesn't want me as her primary caregiver"

While this all sounds horrible at face-value, not everything is as it seems.

In another TikTok video, the mum explained she doesn’t do any of these things for her step-daughter because the girl’s mum and dad have got everything covered.

She said she stopped doing a lot of the above list because she felt she had slipped into the role of “primary caregiver”, which wasn’t something her step-daughter wanted.

The Sun reports the step-daughter’s dad will do all of her washing, brush her hair and get her ready for school while the mum does the same things for her biological children.

In a third video, the mum made a happier list of all the things she will do for her step-daughter, including celebrating her achievements, looking after her when she is sick, and cooking meals for her.

She added she wants a “supportive role” in the girl’s life, and wants to build a lasting relationship with her.

The mum’s original video has gone viral, racking up more than 800,000 views and sparking outrage from all corners of the internet.

Some people accused her of being a “wicked step-mother”.

“Wow, you sound like a prize catch of a stepmother,” one person wrote.

“Are you fresh out of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves?”

“You really should treat them the same way,” a second person wrote.

A third person said: “Wow, this has massive ‘she is not a part of our family’ vibes. Scary.”

“You seem like the stepmother no one would want.”
