A British expat living in Australia has revealed one key difference between the two cultures.

Comedian Jordana Grace, who lives in Brisbane and is temporarily back in the UK, has revealed Aussies will drive anywhere compared to Brits.

In one sketch, she said a Brit would complain about a drive to Bristol taking 45 minutes, labelling it a mission.

But, when asking an Aussie what they did for the weekend, they will say they went away and it was “only a 10-hour drive”.

People in the comments section labelled the comparison “accurate”.

“THIS!! When I was on holidays in the UK, my Airbnb host was stunned that we drove 9 hours in one day,” one social media user said.

Another commented: “I literally drive to Brisbane from Sydney because it somehow takes 2+ hours just to get to the airport anyway.”

A third added: “My UK fam does think we r crazy as we drive 12hrs Bris-Syd for holidays. 8hrs to Scotland didn’t seem bad but I’d want to stay longer than a weekend.”

Another comparison was Aussies layering on the sunscreen when the sun comes out but Brits packing on the tanning lotion.

The Brit promptly laughed at those hopeful Aussies.

“That Aussie missing the sun can’t be from Melbs,” one social media user commented.

Another added: “If Aussies don’t see the sun consistently we die. We just keel over, a moaning, pale mess.”

One said: “Ha can’t be grey forever? just wait till they see Ireland.”
