A North Brisbane mum has been applauded on TikTok after admitting she threatened someone else’s child and didn’t feel bad about it.
In a video uploaded last week, single mum Tara said the stories her children told her about one particular student were unbelievable.
“I’m not going to go into full details but when I tell you they didn’t do s**t like this in my day, we never kick someone when they’re down,” she said.
Prior to filming the video, the mum saw her children, their friends and the child she later ‘told off’ at the local shopping complex.
“I’m walking back to my car and I see said child getting ready, taking her little bag off, getting herself a little hyped up,” the mum said.
“I’m walking towards her, and she’s looking right through me. The only two kids behind me were my daughter and her friend. Now I don’t know which one she’s looking at, but I’m not letting it happen … so I said some things.”
She said she will always stick up for friends of her children.
“If you’re doing the wrong thing I’m going to call you out for being a c**t, and I’m going to say ‘oi, pull your head in, you’re being a c**t’, but I’m also not going to let anyone touch you,” she said.
“I didn’t know who this child was planning on hurting and frankly, I don’t care. It’s not happening on my watch. I don’t feel bad at the end of the day.
“I’m one of those mums that when the teacher calls me and says my kids have done something wrong, I’m like ‘let me sort that little s**t out’.
“I’m raising three little ladies. I’m not raising little hood rat disrespectful f**king … you know. I don’t give a f**k if I swear. I still know f**king right from wrong. So do my kids.”
The video was met with praise from more than 18,000 parents, with commenters sharing similar stories.
“I remember going to school with a kid who never had food to bring, so my mum would pack an extra lunch box every single day for them. Now I’m that mum too,” one parent wrote.
Another said their kids are older now, but they’ve “still got their backs forever”.
