“Many of you know we have faced plenty of challenges that have been out of our control since relocating from Tingalpa,” they said.
“The decision to close has been made by us, we have not been forced to shut.
“But ... any good BBQer will understand if you starve a fire from oxygen it will go out.
“Unfortunately due to many factors out of our control the oxygen in our fire has been very limited and the fire is just about out.
“The passion has never left but it’s an impossible situation.”
The beloved restaurant opened six years ago at Tingalpa.
“It was a passion project that bought a love for great quality meat and live fire cooking together in the one spot,’’ the owners said.
“It changed the shape of butchers in general with many implementing a low n slow style into their operations, ultimately lifting the awareness of this style of cooking and eating for the greater good.
“It’s been an awesome six years of Low N Slow Meat Co, from back in the early days in Tinglapa all the way until now.
“We have taught and hopefully improved hundreds of peoples BBQ skills and opened the door for many more to venture down the rabbit hole of BBQ.
“Customers have become friends and experiences had that won’t be forgotten.
“Thank you to each and every one of you for your support of the brand over the years, it has been loads of fun for all.”
The owners asked customers with existing online orders to contact them.
“Although this chapter of the Low N Slow Meat Co. book is finishing, its certainly not the end of the book, to be continued,” they said.
Loyal customers took to social media to share their sadness at the closure.
Moey’s Butcher said they were shocked at the news.
“From one butcher to another, thanks for your contribution to this industry, your exceptional store, product range and service,” they said.
“It’s sad to hear this news but we wish you all the best in your future endeavours. Much love.”

“No matter where you are we will always be loyal customers.”
