While her whole career has depended on sharing everything about her life, Kim Kardashian has done a great job at privately navigating co-parenting with a tricky partner.
The reality TV star and Skims founder has endured a lot of drama thanks to her ex-husband and father to her four children, Kanye West, but has always managed to walk away with her head held high for the sake of her children - North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm.
But her positive and private approach has come at a huge cost.

Kim's heartbreaking confession about being a single parent
In a recent chat on life coach Jay Shetty's podcast, On Purpose, the 42-year-old mum shared what she struggles the most with being a single parent.
Describing her life as a mum, Kim says her house is pure "madness" at times.
“There are nights I cry myself to sleep. Like, holy sh*t, this f***ing tornado in my house. Like, what just happened?” she revealed.
“Everyone says the days are long and the years are short, and that couldn’t be like a more true statement."
While it is a tough gig going at it alone, Kim added that she wouldn't have life any other way with her crazy little tribe.
“It is the most rewarding job in the entire world. It is. There is nothing that can prepare you. I don’t care how long you wait. I don’t care what you’re waiting for. You are never prepared," she added.
Energy levels aside, Kim also said it has been tough navigating tantrums and mood swings in her home, with no partner to turn to for support.
"You know, with all the moods and the personalities and sometimes they're fighting and there's no one there," she said.

Kim's shock confession about her kids and their dad
Back in 2022, Kim shared that her oldest children - North and Saint - were well aware of their father's public outbursts that made headlines around the globe at the time.
“I’m really open and honest with them,” Kim shared with Robin Roberts during a Kardashian-themed ABC News special.
“The younger ones don’t understand as much, but as far as with my two older ones, they know what’s going on.”
Despite having her own reality show, Kim said she often cringes at the thought of her fans knowing so much about her family dramas.
“I hate that it had to play out like that,” she said. “You want to take the high road, and sometimes it’s hard... I’ve always been a champion of him speaking his truth.”
