Khloe Kardashian confirms baby son's name and admits to difficulty connecting to him

"It's a mindf**k. I do feel less connected. People do say it takes a minute but this is not easy," the mum-of-two shared in the premiere episode of The Kardashians season three.

Khloe feels 'less connected' to her baby that she had via surrogate

In the world of reality TV, the Kardashians reign supreme. And if there's one thing they're particularly good at, it's their ability to ignite a frenzy of anticipation.

Especially when it comes to revealing (or not revealing...) their baby's names.

Just think about the time when Kylie kept her son Wolf, we mean, Aire's name a secret for nearly 11 months.

And after welcoming her second child via surrogate in July 2022 with ex Tristan Thompson, it seems like Khloe followed suit and kept his name under wraps too.

Now, nearly a year on, she finally revealed the name in the season three premiere of The Kardashians.

She also got super candid about the realities of motherhood via surrogate, admitting to having struggles connecting to her son.

Her baby's name aligns with the family's naming tradition

Appearing on The Jennifer Hudson Show in April this year, Khloe said that she would reveal her now nine-month-old baby boy's name in the upcoming season.

And she kept to her word! The 37-year-old finally confirmed her son's name is Tatum during the premiere on May 25th.

In the episode, Khloe is chatting with TV host James Corden at her sister Kendall's 818 Tequila event. Corden asks Khloe about what's new with her and then she just drops the bombshell then and there.

Khloe added, "Naming a human is really hard." She also shared that she wanted to "feel him out a little bit" before deciding on a name.

Tatum's name aligns with the family's tradition of using the same initial letter for their children's names as Khloe's five-year-old is called True.

'Surrogacy was a mindf**k'

Elsewhere in the episode, Khloe opened up about her challenging experience with surrogacy, especially her feelings of guilt over the birth option.

In a conversation with Scott Disick and Kim, Khloe said, "Kim said hers was easy. This is not easy."

She continued later in the episode, "I definitely was in a state of shock from my entire experience in general. I felt really guilty that this woman just had my baby. I take the baby and I go to another room and you’re sort of separated. It’s such a transactional experience ’cause it’s not about him."

"I wish someone was honest about surrogacy and the difference of it. But it doesn't mean it's bad or good. It's still great. It’s just different."

She also shared her struggles connecting with baby Tatum, calling the whole process a 'mindf**k.'

"I do feel less connected. People do say it takes a minute to feel connected but this is not easy."
